
I am Lady Keoki. And, yes, I am a part of the 50 and over club! As a mother, educator, author, natural food advocate, natural hair enthusiast, and founder of Good Ol' Plants, I strive to walk in the purpose that God has for my life.
My interests include writing poetry, singing, creating plays and children's reading activities. I have authored 5 children's books. My newest book motivates consumption of natural sweets from fruits as a sweet "alternative." As a lady who enjoys creating ideas for motivation, I wanted to bridge my adoration for creativity within the 4 walls of a class to my platform for motivating mostly plants on the plate. I have taken on leadership. I have led a number of events that focused on better food options through
consuming mostly plants by implementing my creative Phases.
Here's a snapshot of my story!
A few years ago, after being told that I was moving in the direction of being prediabetic, I wanted to change the way I ate. Why did I start with food? Well, I knew from previous researching that food has everything to do with health. I started at 217 pounds on July 16, 2022. Naw, it wasn't easy to start this new health journey. I tell you; I was still eating what I wanted, but at the same time I did not feel content with my weight and what the doctor told me. I knew that until I changed my mind, I wasn't going to see any results. So, that same year, I prayed, thought, and thought some more. I eventually took some time out of my busy schedule and wrote out a plan of action for my health. I decided to hold myself accountable and revised my YouTube channel targeting my own health journey. Eat Mostly Plants! That's my saying.
Naw, what makes my journey unique? Well, being an educator who loves to be creative, I implemented my own style to encourage staying the journey for myself. I felt like my creative ideas could reach others towards eating a little bit healthier. I hope to motivate others to eating better. I believe that if I coached myself into loosing 42 pounds in less than 9 months naturally, I could also guide others in leading a healthier lifestyle. I could be someone's accountability partner. I could be a help in eating a little bit better. I could motivate within a book to a plate!
